A Fitbit sync fix

I am seeing my Fitbit app failing to sync to my Pixel phone every morning - and notes on the Google Fitbit site suggests that this is common.

The immediate "user" fix has been to just restart the phone every morning - it then syncs my Fitbit app to the Fitbit device and stays syncing all day.  It fails to sync the next morning but restarting the phone again gets it going again.

Hello @EdmundC

There has been an on-going issue on the Fitbit side that affects the device syncing & pairing with the app. The team is aware of the issue and has been working on fixing the problem.

A recent update to the Android app, version 4.28.2, was supposed to fix the syncing & pairing issue. However, many users reported that the syncing issue was not fixed after updating to version 4.28.2. The Moderators have acknowledged this and have forwarded the information to the team.

At this point, there isn't any troubleshooting to recommend since the issue is on the Fitbit side.

Hello again @EdmundC

From what I'm seeing, the newest Android Fitbit app update, version 4.28.3, has resolved the syncing issue for most users. I can't say all users yet since I haven't had a chance to check all the threads about the syncing issues.

If you haven't updated your Fitbit app yet, please check the Play Store and install the update once it's available to you.

Let us know if you're still experiencing a syncing issue after installing version 4.28.3.
