I have a new versa. Swimming 800 yards during 37 minutes only gave me 9 active minutes.
When I manually logged 30 minutes the last time I swam I got 30 active minutes.
When I wore my polar heart rate monitor I got 30minutes of cardio.
Any ideas?

Hello @Esther11.
It is possible that it has something to do with the intensity of the activity, or the device itself. You can read more about it in here. It could be that your device had a hard time tracking your HR, and thus the intensity of the activity, I'd recommend that you try to tighten the strap on your wrist before going to swim to ensure that you get a better reading and that all of the active minutes are recognized.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

The versa doesn't track heart rate when swimming. But how does it give me 6 active minutes during a 43 minute, 1025 yd swim.
Thanks

Hello @Esther11.
It might be possible that it is related to the intensity of the swimming. What strokes are you practicing or using during your swimming sessions? Making sure that your Fitbit senses movement is very important so that it improves the active minute tracking. Let's try tightening the strap so that it has an easier time moving along with your arm.

I had it tight. I do freestyle, breast stroke, backstroke and a little butterfly. With my polar heart rate monitor my entire swim is cardio.
I love my charge 2. I thought the versa would be like it and add swimming. I sent the versa back.
Thank you for your response.
