Fitbit support have just confirmed this is a known bug (so god knows why this is not pinned here).
I went for a run last Wednesday (7th) and Thurs (8th). When I scroll through my recent activites it doesn't show (photo 1), yet when I think click on yesterdays run and look at recent runs it does show (photo 2). It also does show when I log into the fitbit.com dashboard and check under there! Support suggested a few things but it's not fixed it.

I have the transcript saved, support state "this is a known problem". Please check with support and have a it pinned as a known issue. If they again come back saying it's not a known bug then I'm not going to be happy that I was "fobbed off" being told it was by support if it wasn't.
Please check and update.
