The Alexa on my Fitbit Versa 2 just can't connect with my phone and recognize my voice. Know any methods on how to fix it?

Hi @Naturewanderer. Welcome on board! I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for sharing that you have the Versa 2 and let me help you to get Alexa connected. Before anything else, please make sure the following conditions are met:

  • Your phone is within 30 feet from your watch.
  • The Fitbit app is allowed to run on the background.
  • Your phone has a strong internet connection, either through Wi-Fi or a cellular data signal.
  • You logged in to the correct Amazon account when setting up Alexa.

That said, please try the following steps:

  1. On the Fitbit app, tap on your profile's icon > Versa 2 > Amazon Alexa and log out.
  2. On your phone's settings tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  3. Go back one screen and tap on force stop.
  4. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app.
  5. Reboot your phone.
  6. Open the Fitbit app and set up Alexa one more time.

About your other inquiry, may I know what happens when you're talking to Alexa? Do you see an error message displayed? Have you also made sure the language set for Alexa is correct?

Let me know how everything goes.I'll be around,
