All day sync issues

Why the flock does the Fitbit app constantly sync even though all day sync is off? It's just one of my questions there are tons of crap happening in this app that are irritating on a daily basis all through the day. Not only does the app continual syncing every time I pick up my phone but it never actually syncs anything. I haveuninstalled and reinstalled this app so many times it's not even funny. I know how to build apps and I know this is a direct result of poor coding and or the lack of app maintenance. Please help! I've lost 70 lbs so far and these app issues do not seem to be being addressed.

Hello @FreeAlienSoup, welcome to the Community Forums!

I appreciate the information and details that were shared in your post. totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you, thanks for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting too. To better assist you and understand your concern, can you please let me know if you're experiencing syncing difficulties with your device or is your device continually syncing with your mobile device but no information is transferred? Which Fitbit and mobile device are you using?

If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Android mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed. Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

Please make sure that your mobile device is compatible because due to a compatibility concern you can experience connection difficulties.

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you for helping me address these issues. I turned off all day sync a while back and from that day on my Samsung Galaxy S10+w draining battery power really fast and that's when I discovered it was due to the Fitbit app constantly syncing all through the day. I turned off Fitbit notifications but it still continues to sync even though it isn't adding the info from my charge 3. But at the end of the day when I do a sync for the night it takes quite a while but eventually record the information in the app. I also own the Aria 2 scale which occasionally does not sync with my phone. But that issue if few and far between. There are other issues but my disability prevents me from addressing more than one issue at a time. I only bought the scale because I was promised a 25% discount from Fitbit which they never honored. So I'm just chalking it up two fitbit's lack of true customer service and I believe they could give a rat's **ahem** about their customers.

the new app blows.
I have all day sync turned off, and another setting at the bottom of the screen turned off , I forget the name, but it doesn't matter, this **ahem** syncs anyway unless I turn off bluetooth, which is not acceptable.
