Did you mean:

Alta HR cannot be found / Dashboard doesn't show heart rate

Okay,

Here are my two questions. If you care to, below is my experience as to how I arrived at these two questions:

1) Where can I see my heart rate data (resting heart rate and charts throughout the day) on the website? I do not find any "add-ins" for the dashboard - only showing sleep, exercise, calories, and water intake, etc. If I click on the menu area then it says that I've added in all tiles that I can.

2) If I cannot see this type of data, I will move away from fitbit. Does anyone know what type of brands work best with the LG Stylo 2, or are able to display this information via a desktop / website application?

3) If you care to read below, let me know if you think my device could qualify for some type of return / exchange? I purchased it through a Fingerhut account in March 2018 - so I haven't had it for a year.

First, I work in technology, so believe me when I say I've troubleshot this to oblivion. I have an LG Stylo 2 - I am WELL aware that it's not on the list of supported devices, despite this I've been able to use it reliably with my Alta HR since October 2018.  Yesterday, my device couldn't be found and would not sync - it's last sync was ~ 2:30 AM on the 11th. Before this malfunction it would basically 'sooner or later' sync - most times every 2-3 hours or so, but I couldn't force it to refresh on a whim. However, now it's saying it cannot find my tracker at all and I think it has to due with the device, and shows a red notification - different than the yellow warning I typically receive.

I've turned off my bluetooth, tried to unpair it (it wouldn't unpair), I've attempted to sync the device when having bluetooth on and wifi off, and have done several restarts of the device with the charger button.

On the application side, I've cleared the cache of my app, uninstall and reinstalled the mobile app, and finally actually removed the Alta HR from my app - since then, I've been unable to resync it and it states that it cannot find it - which was the original error that I had.

I wanted to see if it was my phone or the device, so I download the fitbit desktop application. My computer has bluetooth and was unable to fully pair with my device, even after turning off my phone's bluetooth to force it to unpair. It would see it, but be unable to pair with it successfully. It would do the same thing as my phone, go forward with the pairing, but eventually fail.

I charged it up to attempt a better sync and am now waiting for it to die fully and charge again to see if that has anything to do with it. But have doubts that it will solve anything.

Any ideas?

After restarting my device (multiple times), eventually the device was able to sync with my phone and was able to see the requested data.

1.  Go to the fitbit.com dashboard.  Click 'Dashboard' near the top right of this page.  On the wide graph with 2 drop-down menus, select Heart Rate Daily.  Drag your cursor along the graph for readout of exact numbers.

3.  Don't panic when it won't sync.  It will often come back and sync again in time, a few hours or even longer.  It can store a week's worth of detailed data without syncing.    My go-to helps are:

if any other phones nearby, turn off bluetooth on them,

on phone, stop the app and clear the cache,

reboot phone and restart tracker,

don't mess with pairing, unpairing, anything bluetooth other than rebooting phone.

Hello,

When I go to dashboard, this is what I see:

Fitbit Menu.png

Is this some place else that I am not seeing? Sorry, maybe a link to an article or a screen shot would help?

I've cleared the cache and have done some extensive troubleshooting, which I've described in my post. And I've ended up removing the device from my fitbit app and if I can't sync the device again, then even if I find the heartrate stuff then it won't matter?

Would the recent application update play into my inability to sync?

Thanks for your prompt response!

Here's my dashboard (greatly shrunk) with at least 6 more tiles available to add.

I have no idea why you are not seeing more.  Do you have another browser you could try, or log out and back in to Fitbit, making sure you remember your account & pswd.
