Alta HR won't sync but Ionic does

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I own a Ionic and a Alta HR
I work also with two Android Phones, Nokia 7+ and LG Q7
It all works perfect with the Ionic
But the Alta HR syncs very bad. Last time was 10 days ago...
I like to have a large tracker for jog, the Ionic
and a small one for daily use, that's why I have the Alta
Recently, I decided to replace the Alta HR, and I bought the Charge 3: it was to learn on the FItbit website that it is incompatible with  the Ionic.
So I start to desperate..., What happens with my Alta HR?
And I ask myself if it's really possible to use two trackers with Fitbit?
Thanks for your help

Hello @danielmus.

Thanks for sharing all of those details with us! I'll be happy to help you figure out what is going on.

The first thing I'd like to do is ask you some questions:

  • Do you have set up notifications with either of the phones and Fitbits? If so, what combination?
  • Do you get some sort of error message when you try to sync your Alta HR?

In the meantime I'd recommend that you try to follow the steps listed in this help article to get your Alta to sync again. It is possible that it could work and have it working again in no time.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi

My Fitbit ALtaHr scans much less than my Ionic

When I sync, on both phones, I get often that there is a Bluetooth problem.
Then I switch Off and On again the Bluetooth.

Whe I click on Sync the Alta HR , I get a red triangle, and then a note
saying that 'your demand has been received and that it will sync soon".
Sometimes it takes a week.

But recently I found something that seems to work

On my Nokia 7 I switched Always Connected Ionic Yes Alta HR No

On my LG Q7 I switched Always Connected Ionic No Alta HR Yes

Believe it or not, it seems to work much better now.

Both sync regularly on both phones!

I hope it will continue.

Best
