Hey hey @kstwinmama it's great to see you here in our Commmunity! Woman Wink Actually, Fitbit trackers are compatible with Samsung Galaxy S6, you can always check the list of supported devices for reference. Also, you can learn more about your Fitbit Alta at the product manual, give it a look!

Let me know if you have any other question, I'm always happy to help!

Looking for help.  I just picked up the Alta limited edition and am having issues getting it to pair with my devices.  As a side note, I set up a previous Alta on my wife's iPhone without issue.  With that said, I am simply trying to set up my new Alta, where I have tried to set it up, first with my Samsung Android S6, then my iPad Mini 4, and then on my new MacBook Air (using the USB dongle).  In all cases, the Alta continues to display the URL ("fitbit.com/setup") and though my devices can see the Alta (i.e., using BT), the connection software always times out and the device remains disconnected.

I am going to try calling the support people tomorrow, but in the meantime, if anyone has any usable ideas on how to resolve the issue that I am having, I would appreciate it.

@wcbh welcome to the Community! Thanks for stopping by. Cat Wink Have you checked that your mobile devices are supported with the link @CindyFitbit provided above? Also, make sure that you are following these steps when trying to set up your Alta to your Android app. Try these instructions if you're trying with your iPad mini 4th gen. Trying a restart would also be a good idea. If you haven't already try the following:

  1. Plug your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clasp the other end of the cable to the port on the back of your Alta. Alta will begin charging.
  3. Press the button on your charging cable three times within eight seconds, briefly pausing between presses. The button is on the end of the charging cable that is plugged into your computer.
  4. Eight seconds after the first button press, you'll see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This means Alta is restarting.
  5. After you see the logo you can unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Hey, btw what was the resolution from our Support Team? Were you able to contact them? Do let me know!

I'll be looking forward to your new comments! Cat Very HappyCat Happy
