My Alta is only 4 months old. It stopped synco g with my Samsung galaxy s7 edge at 7:45 yesterday morning. My Bluetooth is on and is connected to my Alta Fitbit. I've tried pulling the thing down at the top of the app to sync it, as it don't sync automatically when I start the app like it's supposed too, and it won't sync at all. It keeps telling me error please try again. The app is updated too.

I would try restarting your phone and then restarting your fitbit using this procedure:
