After android 13 official update, must reinstall app every day to reactivate email notification.

Restarting phone, Fitbit, app or forgetting device doesn't repair problem.

Hello @Flagsker

Let’s recheck your settings to make sure nothing was changed during your last Android update:

  • Ensure the Fitbit app runs in the background by going to Apps & Notifications > Fitbit app and turning off Background restrictions or Background limits.
  • Check that the Fitbit app is installed on your phone’s internal storage, not on an external SD card or other storage. The Fitbit app does not consistently work when installed on an SD card.
  • Turn off battery optimization and limitations.
    1. Go to Apps > Fitbit app > Advanced > Battery > Battery optimization.
    2. Change the view to All apps.
    3. Search for the Fitbit app and choose Don’t optimize (or not optimized.)
  • Also check: Settings > Apps & notifications > Notifications > Notifications on lock screen and set to Show conversations.

Once you make sure all your settings are correct let’s check the settings in the Fitbit app. (You might get a pop up requesting permissions during this process. Agree to the permissions)

Open you Fitbit app, tap your profile picture then scroll down and tap the name of your Fitbit Tracker. Next scroll down and tap notifications. Look to ensure all your notifications you want are enabled. Next, while still on the same page tap App notifications and ensure all your desired apps are enabled.

Once you have completed all these steps make sure you sync your Fitbit tracker so that your Fitbit will accept any changes you may have made.

😉 I hope this helps and gets your email notifications working again properly. Please come back and let me know how it went.

Thanks MegaBite that's very helpful.  One quick "fix" that I often see with Fitbit app problems on my phone is to simply restart the phone, this suggests that the issue is an Android related thing - I'm seeing only a few problems on my Pixel 4a with Android 13, typically they are just things like the app not showing the water consumption levels until the phone is rebooted.
