I opened my Fitbit app on my LG G4 this morning to see my sleep data and the app immediately crashed, saying "Unfortunately, Fitbit has stopped." I cleared all running apps, restarted my phone, reopened and got the same message. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled it from the the Google Play store, and it seemed fine until I logged in to my account, at which point it immediately crashed again. I've attempted reinstalling again with the same result. It still seems to be syncing, as my online profile does update periodically throughout the day. Very frustrating. Anyone have any advice on this? Thanks!

I started having the same problem yesterday on my Samsung S7. I also tried the same solutions (restart phone, uninstall/reinstall app, etc) with no change. I also appear to be syncing and am even getting notifications on my phone (only x number of steps left toward goal, you earned x badge, etc). The problem seems to be the dashboard since I have no problems seeing the badge via the notification and don't have a problem logging in when reinstalling the app.
I had no trouble
I currently have version 2.34 of the android app on my Samsung S7 (running Android 6.0.1) and am using a Charge 2.
This is indeed very frustrating...
Anyone else have the same problem? Solutions?

I was able to get mine working again yesterday by re-installing the app, logging in first with my wife's account, logging back out, and then logging again with my account. Not sure if you know someone else that can log in on yours and then log out, but it's worth trying. Kind of frustrating that this is so buggy, but at least it works again.

Thanks so much for the idea.
I tried this (using a separate account with a different email) and was indeed able to log in with that account and actually see the dashboard (so no error). However, when I logged back in with my actual account, it again gave me an error message.
I'm glad it worked for you and appreciate you sharing the idea.
Open to other thoughts if anyone has any... Missing my app.

I have the same exact problem.
I just recently got the Blaze, and it worked fine for the first day or so.
Now when I try to open the app it crashes as soon as I hit the dashboard of the app.
The strange thing is that I'm able to access other things in the app, like if I get a trophie or simmular. But at soon as I try to see the dashboard it crashes. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy s6 btw.
Hope that there will be a solution soon, been loving the Blaze and the app while they still worked. Been using the Windows app for now.

What Cander49 suggested ended up working for me (after several tries).
After uninstalling the app, I used a different account to log in with. [I didn't have access to a different account, so first created one with a different email.] When I did this, there was no problem accessing the dashboard with the other account. I then logged out of the temporary account and logged into my actual account.
While this didn't work the first time, I tried it several more times, and it eventually worked.
Yes, it was a bit of a hassle, but I'm glad to have it working now.
No promises, of course, but it might be worth a try...

@cander49 Thanks for sharing what worked for you. It looks like that also helped @benjabber get back on track, so thanks again for sharing.
@LinusJohansson I recommend trying out the suggestion here by @cander49. Also, make sure that you're using the most updated version of the Fitbit app. Let me know if that helps.

Same story for me, been happening since last night.
I use a Blaze and have a OnePlus phone. I've uninstalled and reinstalled so many times I've lost count

Droid turbo 2 crashes immediately upon touching log in after reinstall, deleting and reading Charge 2. It appears to be related to account information initially, but now suspect hung process left files not refreshed by uninstall install.

This issue has reappeared with the new update.
If you restart the phone the app crashes continually until you reinstall it.
