Android App inaccurate after syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a LG Stylo 3 Plus. I downloaded the app 12/31/17. For the past 3 days, it is inaccurate on my steps, distance & not tracking up to date.

I spent about 75 mins last night looking up troubleshoot.

Auto update is on.

I have turned on/off on my tracker.(which is tracking & recording info fine)

I have the current app update.

I have unpaired & re paired my tracker to the app.

Any suggestions??

Thank you in advance

Hi there @Tileynl, welcome to our Fitbit Community! In this case can you provide more details about the issue you are experiencing?

I got clear is inaccurate in your steps and distance  and the steps you have tried to address this issue. However I'm not sure in which way is being inaccurate your data, is your steps and distance not correct or is tracking more steps from what you are doing? Is this related to an specific exercise you want to track with your Fitbit? In which way the syncing is affecting your data?

Let me know all the relevant details to find a solution for you. See you soon!

Hi

Thanks for the response. I mean real time syncing doesn't happen all the time on my phone app. I have to turn continual sync and all day sync on and off, which doesn't always work. So when I am looking for my sleep patterns or hours of 250+ steps - I don't know my progress.

Also, the fit bit doesn't necessarily pick up active minutes as well. Yesterday it picked it up accurately, but prior to that I had to manually enter it.  My data on my fitbit is accurate otherwise.

And separately - can I add an exercise/activity to the drop down list?

Hi there @Tileynl, thank you for providing me more details. My apologies since I been absent since our last interaction. So just to be on the same page, how it goes so far?

There has been some issues with previous version of the app so those issues might have an impact that your data was not syncing. There is a new version that I would like to recommend in case you haven't seen this version yet. In your case I'm sure you do, but just to have more details I would share the following post: Android app version 2.65.1 is now available - 1/25.

Active minutes can be a little bit tricky. Since this minutes as you know, does not necessarily match the total time of your exercise. Perhaps the following article will explain better this information: What are active minutes? However just a quick note, if you are experiencing syncing issues, it might affect all your stats.

To add exercise to your drop-down list it is possible, but has to be created as a custom activity first in your web Dashboard by accessing to your Exercise log. Here locate the option to Create Custom Activity

Enter the exercise that you want and just press create. Now back to your Exercise tile on your Fitbit app this activity should be available when you search for it, becoming available to log in.

See you later and hope this information helps.
