Android/Charge 3 heart rate data clipped upon view in app

Hi,

I am noticing that the heart rate data shown in the view linked below (all-day heart rate shown by selecting heart rate from the Android dashboard) appears to be clipped at the time of viewing from the Android app. That is, in the image linked below, the time each day that my heart rate shows "----" indicates the time at which I opened this view from the Android app. For example, on Sat, Dec 8, I viewed this display around 9:30 am.

Interestingly, it resets at 12 am, as opposed to any other trigger (e.g. I use the in-app "Begin Sleep Now" option which starts earlier and would last longer than the 12 am reset).

Notice that in the example, Sunday onward I have started to view this display only before going to bed and no sooner, so more data is displayed (clipped around 10 pm).

I use a Charge 3 and I believe it continues to measure my heart rate just fine (workouts during the ---- periods have heart rate data). I imagine this is an issue with the Android app and its data capture/display as opposed to the Charge 3. Has this issue been observed before? Let me know if there is anything I can provide; thanks!

I often see it clipped on Android app for any tracker.  I expect it comes from all the data that needs to be downloaded to view not getting there.  Often I will look again and see it all there.

What I find much more useful for looking at heart rate is looking at the fitbit.com dashboard graph.  Click on 'Dashboard' near top right of this page, and in the wide graph with 2 drop-down menus, choose heart rate and Daily.  All the data that has been synced is always there and I can see much more detail there than I can on my phone, and it shows values as I drag cursor along graph.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi @JohnnyRow,

Thanks for your response! I forgot to mention -- I have opened the app multiple times during the no-data periods. The "----" periods show as blank (no line is present) until the next day. For example, I opened this view multiple times Saturday, but only the data until the first instance of viewing is shown, with no line shown for half of the day (even when viewing that evening).
