Last night I was synching my flex to my android app (v2.22) at around 1030p. I noted that my weekly total had jumped significantly, so I looked at the days and realized it had added a bunch of steps to the next day. It looked like it added the daily total from Friday (today) to Saturday (tomorrow), so those steps were double counted. Still is wrong on Saturday. The hourly graph looked reasonable (but not correct) in the morning, showing about 1000 steps, but the total still shows over 17,000. Even the hourly graph is wrong, tho, in that it shows steps recorded in the future.
I tried entering a driving activity from midnight to 6am based on some old threads here, but that did not clear out the duplicated steps. I will look for the OEM charger cable to see if a reset fixes it, and also maybe when we get to midnight tonight, it will recalculate??? Is there any other way to correct the steps, or at least reset them to zero? I can always manually re-enter steps later if I get it set to zero.
Anyone have any other options?
If one of the above actions corrects this problem, I will report back. My flex is about 4 months old, if that helps.
Thanks in advance

I now see there are a number of other posts on similar problems. Mods, please feel free to move this to another thread if that makes sense. Resetting, which I have done three times and then run a sync, did not do anything. In this case, it is not a time zone issue, though that is an interesting possibility. I did travel from New Orleans to Chicago, but that is neither a time zone change, nor did it happen around or over midnight.
Will report back with what happens at midnight tonight. Beginning to think I just need to deal with an absurdly high, and wrong, number of steps today. Sets the bar high for a single day, and a week, but not so high that I won't beat it at some point.

No correction occurred at midnight, but today started with a zero total, so that is progress. For some reason, the display for yesterday, the day with the wrong number of steps, is now messed up. It appears that it is overwriting a set of zero entries with the erroneous numbers, so it is a mess.
The only other thing I can think of is to uninstall and reinstall the app, but since the bad numbers are already in the cloud on my dashboard and no one else has suggested that as a valid solution, I am not going to bother unless I have more problems.
For now I will live with bad info for one day.
