Android app and Sense watch showing wrong distance target.

@FitbitSupport My distance target is set to 5 miles. Yesterday I walked over seven miles. Both the Fitbit app and my Fitbit Sense told me I hadn't reached my target. What is going wrong here, is my watch at fault? #Fitbit #Sense #ERROR #refund?

After much talk with @FitbitSupport on Twitter, and chat support online, it seems this problem is not solvable. If my Fitbit mobile app is set to a target distance of 5 miles, both my Sense watch and Fitbit web dashboard set themselves to a target of 8.05 miles. If I set the web dashboard back to 5 miles, the watch is back to close to 5 miles (actually 4.99 miles, e.g. 0.84 with 4.15 remaining), and the mobile app sets itself to 3.11 miles... It seems the mobile app and the web dashboard have got out of sync somehow, both showing different numbers, and there is no way to reconcile them... Full reset of watch (factory reset) and mobile app (cleared all caches, and uninstall), whilst ensuring the web dashboard is correctly set to 5 miles does not cure this - mobile and web are still out of sync as before. Support have said I can return the watch - do they think it is faulty somehow?
