Android app crashing when opening adventure

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I started the Vernal Falls adventure today but I can't get into it to see how I'm doing; the app crashes.

I've cleared cache and cleared data, uninstalled and reinstalled - twice! The second time, I rebooted my phone between the uninstall and re-install. Still can't get into the adventure. I'm completely stumped.

It's the latest version of the app; the phone is a WileyFox Swift, Android 6.0.1, Cyanogen OS 13.1.2. I did the NYC adventures last week and didn't have any problems.

@gilly.c Do you see any error messages when the app crashes? If possible, please share a screenshot of what you once the app crashes. That will be super helpful, thanks in advance.

All I get is "Unfortunately, Fitbit has stopped". There's no other message.

Hey, @gilly.c! Thanks for the updates! It could be that it is crashing because your phone is not on the compatible devices list.  Also, the screenshot could be helpful to further investigate your case. If you can attach it, please do.

Here's the screenshot. For now I've just resigned myself to not being able
to do Adventures.

I'm having the same problem. App worked perfectly for me until it updated today (v.  2.36)

I've cleaned cache, data, uninstalled/reinstalled, restart phone and it continues to crash.

Now, it crashes when:

- I try to open challenges, check my progress and click on the diamonds/treasures/landmarks I've been getting.

- Try to Track Exercise

As soon as I hit the challenges button, to open the challenge it crashes. I can click the challenges tab and see the brief information about the amount of steps needed until next landmark or how many steps I am over for the day.  As soon as I click 'track exercise' it crashes.

** Phone information:

Samsung Galaxy S4

Rom: 6.0.1 (custom rom)

As I said, it worked perfectly until the 10/20 update, which installed today. The screenshot would be exactly like the one @gilly.c posted above.

Hi ValerieAnne,
I haven't been using the Track Exercise function, but I've just tested it and yes, that makes it crash for me too.

Hi @gilly.c

Is it working for you now? Everything is working correctly for me again with no crashes. Started working yesterday evening.. I didn't change anything, so I don't know what the problem actually was, but whatever it was, it's been fixed (for me anyway).

Hi @ValerieAnne, mine's still not working. Looks like Samsung spotted the
issue but Cyanogen haven't yet! I'm glad yours is fixed. 🙂

Hey, @Roadragemustang! It is nice to see you. Does this always happens? Also, please tell me what troubleshooting steps you've attempted and what mobile device you are using.

Having the App up to date always resolves this type of bugs. Do you have the latest one(2.44)?

Let me know!
