I don't want Fitbit running on my phone all day. I don't want to have to force kill it every time I open it to check things.
How do I turn off this "Feature"?

Hi @remowylliams, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delay in responding.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Because the Fitbit app uses the Bluetooth technology of your mobile device, the only way to stop the app to be running on the background is to force quit it on your mobile device settings. We are always striving to improve the Fitbit experience with our products and services, the feedback that was shared in your post is appreciated.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
