Android app keeps running in backgroud

I have Fitbit Android app, & even after i completely close the app, it keeps running and show Fitbit using battery.  Only way to get that out is to force stop in app.  Its very annoying to force stop the app after every use.

I will gladly assist you with your Fitbit app running in the background. You could go to your phone settings and look for the battery area where you can add the Fitbit app to the battery saver profile so it isn't running in the background.

My battery setting for Fitbit app is already on Optimize. Only other
option is Don't optimize.
