Android app not syncing

Help. I'm going mental with app and phone not syncing workouts. After a number if calls to fitbit they say its a software issue amd will be fixed by 26th September. Call a couple of days later and told no eta. Fitbit twitter is just bot replies. Anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve?  Deleted and reinstalled app just for it to wipe all workout history. Not impressed with fitbit

Just been on with support now my versa 4 hasn't synched fot four days. Can't even use it as a watch.

I've restarted both the app and device. It didn't work for me

My watch is working on the basics....the time is wrong as it won't sync. I
paid for premium, they won't refund, last week they said my watch was
broken, I spent money on another that obviously doesn't work. They didn't
tell me the problem was theirs but offered me 30 percent on an upgrade for
some fancy thing i couldn't afford.....probably wouldnt work as I'm not
changing my phone. So, so angry. I have rung nearly every day, I have
emailed with no replies. It's so frustrating and a waste of money I can
ill afford. Fitbit, I'd never recommend, going in the bin. Never again.

Did you restart the whole phone or just the app? I meant whole phone.

Yes, gone through all the trouble shooting with the help people on the
phone. They said its an issue theirs end and to be patient

I spoke to the help people this morning and was told they hope it's
repaired in 48 hours...maybe

Please see the Moderator's post from today (29 Oct 2024) on this thread (<-- click link). She states that the fix is rolling out in app version 4.28.2.

The app updates usually roll out in waves. Keep checking the Play Store for the update and install it when it's available for you.

If you're still seeing the syncing issue after installing the update, please let us know.

I have updated the app to 4.28.2 but it still does not work. I cannot link my versa 3 to the app as the app just does not find it on bluetooth. As far as I am concerned this app is still broken and I am getting fed up with it now.

I just updated to 4.28.2, and there is no change. 

Let me explain that during my many attempts to resolve the issue,  I performed a factory reset of my Inspire 3. So, rather than a failure to sync, I have a failure to set up the device. 

Is there anything I should do differently?

I have tried both my devices this morning. My old one that had the app
previously that won't sync, done the Bluetooth, uninsted the app,
reinstalled the app, my device is not found and does not sync.

I tried to install my brand new device, never used, the clock face just
tells me to download the app. Obviously, this watch won't sync as the app
will not install.

Hi, I have just updated the app, tried reloading my old fitbit that had the
app previously, it does work. I tried to down the app on my new watch,
still the message on the face says to download the fitbit app. I
uninstalled, reinstalled, turned off Bluetooth, back on, the little button
and guess what...it still doesn't work. Both watches are not recognised.
Absolutely fuming.

Same old this morning,  still my old fitbit won't sync and my new one tells me to down load the app.   So, still broken after a week.  What's the story today?

I woke up today and found Google Play had updated my fitbit app to the new 4.28.2 and it still doesn't work for my inspire 3, won't even recognize it forget about syncing it, so once again I downloaded the 4.26 version from up to down app store and voila working inspire 3.  Come on, Google, how hard can it be to fix this, can't you see what's different in the 4.26 version that you've screwed up in the 4.28? How about using some of your famous A.I.?

@phen I just gave up and side loaded an older version. Voila! My Luxe now works! I had gone already into the Play Store and turned off the auto updates in anticipation of them not being able to fix the problem.

I've tagged the Moderators in the other syncing issue threads to let them know that version 4.28.2 didn't fix the issue. They have acknowledged and forwarded the information to the team.

I'm continuing to monitor those other threads and will share any updates as soon as I see them.

you have to download the up to down . com (all spaces removed) then search for fitbit app and scroll down to different versions you will see the 4.26 version there.  good luck
