Android app won't accept email and password

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The Android app won't accept my username and password, says 'Invalid email or password', which is wrong! . I had this problem a month ago, then it went away, but it is back now. Version 2.62(1) - 2.63 not available on Play store

I have uninstalled, wiped the cache, reinstalled, same. I changed the password, same.

Please get rid of this bug once and forever.

After the bug disappeared last time I bought a new Fitbit, a decision I am greatly regretting with this bug coming back.

This has continued all day without  being able to log in. Is there a workaround? Can you sync a Fitbit directly with a Windows PC without having to use the app?

At the moment seems to be anweithredol by name, anweithredol  by nature.

I found a fix, which is to sidelond Fitbit app version 2.61. That works, but you have to stop autoupdate

Fitbit Customer Services recommended using the Windows Fitbit app which I downloaded successfully onto my laptop, enabled Bluetooth and everything then synced. The sleep log isn't as good on Windows as on the Android app.

Was told software engineers had already been altered to the issue regarding the Android app.

Simple - Fitbit stopped accepting your login if you haven't upgraded the App on your Android phone.

No idea why they do this, but if you allow their App to update to latest version then the problem goes away.

This is deeply frustrating and a huge time waster to figure it out if you (like me) refuse to allow every App to auto-update on your phone.
