My phone notification log is full of messages saying that Fitbit MobileTrack is asking for some permission and it is being denied - twice per hour.
Meanwhile, since this started (about 4 months ago?) my Inspire HR won't sync at all and I am having to set it up as a new device every week in order to get the stats off it - and yes I have tried ALL of the things suggested by Fitbit to sync it, which wastes an hour of my life each time.
Currently 1 hour into trying to set it up as a new device today too, so not sure that this is even worth it any more!
Moderator edit: Subject for clarity.

@harrit Nice to see you here in the forums again.
Thanks for reaching out regarding the Fitbit app and MobileTrack, the explanation and your initiative to solve the syncing situation on your own. This is the very first time I come across this situation.
In this case I would make sure that the Fitbit app is up to date. I would also go to the profile settings and unpair/deactivate MobileTrack. I understand you never turned it on, but you should now turn it off. This could be interfering with the syncing of your device. What exactly have you tried? Thanks in advance. In order to turn off MobileTrack. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture. If MobileTrack is still enabled, it should be listed under your devices. Tap on "MobileTrack" and then on the top right corner, tap on the trash icon and confirm, in order to remove it from your account.
If the app is up to date and the issue persist, I would either clear the cache memory of the Fitbit app on your smartphone or I would delete the app and install it again. No data will be lost, as your information is stored in your account and not the app itself.

Thanks for editing my subject "for clarity", but the fact that I didn't set mobile track, and in fact mobile track is not showing as one of my devices and therefore I cannot turn it off, is an important part of my complaint! I have on several occasions deleted the app and reinstalled it, and within hours each time my phone is showing notifications that mobile track is asking permission and being denied. This is not an issue with Mobile Track itself, as my current subject line implies thanks to your edit, but a problem that Mobile track is asking permissions even though it isn't switched on.
As for my tracker not syncing I have followed every single step on the fitbit site many, many times to no avail, and this time when I tried to set up my tracker as a new device it took 4 goes of around about an hour to reconnect it and it didn't bring the sleep data from the past week with it. I mainly use my tracker to track my sleep, so this was useless to me. The tracker also loses time so it doesn't even work as a reliable watch.
