Android vs. apple

So I have experienced off and on problems with getting my phone to sync to my watch. I have a new Android so it meets all the qualifications. some days it works beautifully and has no issues other days it advises device cannot be found. It's not finding device again  and has been like this so far for three days going on four. yet the exact same version which is on my Apple tablet which was purchased in 2011 syncs  beautifully with no problems. also if I go to add my scale to my phone it tries to delete my watch to add the phone, in other words it tries to replace my device. but if I do the same on my Apple tablet it actually adds the device does not replace.

the purpose of getting this new charge 3 was so I could get my messages from my phone to my watch if I was in meetings and not able to answer my phone. So far this is not been very successful. I am glad I am able to upload on my Apple device for just syncing health data . both apps on both devices are the exact same version. Can someone please advise if known why there's such a discrepancy in the same version between two different os's.  I am trying very hard to be patient but this is been going on for a while now and I really hoped it was going to be fixed soon.

Thank you.

@Lorac280 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry to hear about your issues with your Android device. Which phone are you using? Is it compatibleYou can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Regarding the issue with the scale. This issue is being investigated already by our team and hopefully will be resolved soon enough. Still since you have your iPad I guess you already set it up on your account.

Let me know how it goes!

@AlvaroFitbit. I have a new Motorola with a Android 8.0 OS. The issue of 'not finding device' comes and goes. I have tried restarting phone and BT. I have uninstalled and reinstalled.  I have reset network settings.  All of my permissions are on.  It will randomly connect during the day then randomly disconnect.   Not being able to add a device to my account started in October.
