Hi, I tried turning off the notification using ideas from other members and forums, but so far nothing is working.

This link says it's solved:  https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Persistent-Notification-Version-2-65-1/td-p/2481183/page...,

but for me it's not, hence, this new topic was created.

Here is another discussion that is discussing the issue:  https://forums.androidcentral.com/google-pixel-2-pixel-2-xl/865778-how-dismiss-notification-android-...

I am hoping that Fitbit and/or Google will fix this issue.

I saw the Fitbit help article with instructions on how to turn off the annoying message.

https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2322

I did the following based on the article:

To hide the Fitbit Sync Service notification:

  1. Press and hold on the notification.
  2. Turn the notification off.
  3. Tap Done.

Lo and behold at this time the annoying notification is gone!  How about that!

If the notification comes back, I will add a new reply, but for now my world of Fitbit and Google are at peace.  Thanks!

Hiding the sync notification just brings up another one from Android saying "Fitbit is using battery"

I am also seeing the annoying android battery usage notification on my note8. This appeared after the most recent update (10/3/18). I can turn off the notification but not just for the fitbit app. I would like to know when other apps are draining the battery so I don't want to turn this off completely. Note that when I check the battery usage, the fitbit app isn't using an excessive percentage of battery but the notification is always there.

Annoying notification happening here too, after recent system update.

I performed a Force Stop on the Fitbit app, but the notification persists.
