I have regular sync issues with my fitbits (at least twice a week).. It has been consistent across fitbit models and versions, and across phone models all running android versions between 4 and 10 (samsung, google, huawei, LG)..
I'm constantly finding myself having to reboot gadgets or force close apps or clear the app data, uninstall and reinstall, but the problem persists after a couple/few days of successful syncing... The only common factors are Android as a base OS on the phone, and fitbit.
Recently my blaze stopped holding charge for more than 1/2 a day (after about 2 or so years?) so I upgraded to Versa 2.. Here i am, less than 48 hours after initial Versa 2 setup, unable to sync to my phone for absolutely no good reason other than ... Fitbit? I started clean too, completely removed old Blaze setup, deleted all data, uninstalled the app, rebooted phone, reinstalled app... worked awesome for 2 days.
Folks who have tried other trackers, is this a common issue across trackers? Is this a common issue with fitbits in general, or do i somehow have some weird freak issue that's haunting me?
Hoping someone either drops a solid tip I haven't seen yet that restores my faith in this trackers ability to sync, or tells me i'm not overreacting by looking to replace fitbit in my life.
I only started having syncing issues a week ago. Initially it would sync if I fully charge it, now the app won't recognize a device let alone sync it
The time is off. I have done all the trouble shooting suggestions. I have spent way too much time today trying to figure this out. The only thing I have gotten is finding out a lot of other people are having the same issue.
I have had this Fitbit since June and never had any syncing problems until a week ago. I was late for work two days in a row because I was relying on it for the time. The only way I can get it to sync is by setting it up as a new device however it does not continue to sync after that. I sent a message to Support, have not heard back from them.
Yes. For months I've been having to uninstall, force stop , turn Bluetooth off and on, all the things they say to do, sometimes doing all three multiple times before it syncs. Then a day later we're back to scratch getting the "no device found" message.
I'm beginning to think it's not worth the trouble
I am as well... couldn't sync since last thurs... battery died and Tues when I charged it.. it synced then nothing since....I'm in lots of challenges and cant sync them... ... I've had enough of fitbit....time to throw it in the trash... fitbit had been little to no help
I thought buying a new versa 2 from my old versa would solve it and it seems worse I'm getting fed up with fitbit this is bs I think I need to switch to a samsung watch
Agreed this is absolutely ridiculous it gets worse daily it wont stay syncing for more then a few min now and I dont get any notifications

Best AnswerI have been fighting with the company for months over this issue. I have finally contacted the Better Business Bureau. In one of the emails, I was actually told to link my Fitbit with an iphone! The company is sending me a replacement, but that truly is not the answer. I have a feeling that when I get the replacement, I am still going to have issues. The problem is with their app, not the tracker!
Best AnswerI am having problems also. Started a couple days ago, have tried everything except factory reset. I don't really want to go to that trouble. Every once in awhile it will sync. but now i have unpaired it to try and re-pair it, which of course it wont do. ugh. very annoying since it is only a year old.
