Good monrning,  app 3.91 was released on 11/1 and was still having the same issues as 3.9.  It was pulled from Play Store on 11/5.  I see that it has been readded back to Play Store as the same version that had been pulled.

Why is this version named the same as the one that was pulled?  Is it the same version or a different version and the name wasn't changed to reflect that it had been updated?

Before downloading this version, can one of you verify that the various bugs that were reported have been fixed as far as syncing, notifications, app crashing?

I am not downloading an app that has been known to cause issues if all that was done was just to be pulled and readded a few days later on Play Store with no fix.

I'm following up to my post from yesterday.   In checking the reviews on Play Store, version 3.9.1 users are still experiencing issues with syncing and not receiving notifications.  Will another app version be released soon to address these issues?

Hi @SunsetRunner  the Fitbit moderators won't be able to give you that information as the software developers would be the only ones to know. All moderators can tell us is that this is being investigated and Fitbit will let us know when that changes. Sorry. We're all waiting, including the moderators.

@SunsetRunner  The Android world is like a minefield with all of the phone variations.

You can see my devices in my signature. My Sony XA2 is not on Fitbit's devices, only an earlier model XA.  I  had the Android 9 upgrade in mid October followed by the Fitbit App 3.9.1 upgrade on Nov 5 and I'm having no issues.

Add my 14 months old Ionic and based on the Ionic site I should be a walking disaster and I only use the watch GPS when I need that.

I even upgraded to Premium yesterday and now my Sleep stages are fully analyzed.

Your phone is compatible

I clear the Fitbit cache at regular intervals and switch my phone off every night. I only use the Fitbit clock face.  I have 117 Apps on my phone and don't use music and have deleted the Ionic watch Apps that I don't use.

I also upgrade everytime a new App version comes through and In Australia it's normally a couple of days later, again no issues with earlier Apps.

All of this works for me and it's difficult to offer advice because I don't have the issues that you are experiencing.  So you can see why it can be a minefield.

My Versa is still syncing and receiving notifications with version 3.8.  Using  a compatible phone Samsung Galaxy S7 Android Version 8.0. Security update was done recently.

I just don't understand why 3.9.1 was readded back as the same  version on Play Store when it had been pulled from Play Store when users starting having the same exact issue as 3.9.

I understand they want us to be on the latest version of the app but I'm not going to chance it not working with since on Play Store under reviews users are having issues with 3.9.1 version crashing,  syncing and notifications not working.

It's great to have you here, @SunsetRunner. @Odyssey13 and @Colinm39, thanks for the input.

I appreciate the concern about the Fitbit app updates. I would like to know if you are experiencing any type of issues at the moment? Is the new update causing you problems? What type of troubleshoot have you tried so far?.

I hope to hear from you soon. 🙂

I have a compatible phone - Samsung Galaxy 7 Android Version 8.0 Security Updated 10/18//2019 and users have reported issues with App 3.9.1 running on a Samsung phone.  I haven't installed this version due to all of the issues that have been occuring as far as the app crashing, and the ongoing issues of not syncing and users not receiving notifications which has been posted on both the Community Forum as well as in Google Play Store for the reviews of this version of the app.

3.9.1 HAS NOT fixed anything that has been ongoing for months and the developers still can't get it right.  It gets worse with each version of 3.x.

I'm tired of troubleshooting with each version that comes out ....we all know the drill at this point of what steps to do in trying to get our Fitbits to hopefully work the way they should after installing a new update.  Trying several times....if you're lucky you might get it to work.   If the app is buggy, no amount troubleshooting is going to fix the issues....fix the bugs within the app.

Have the developers go back to version 2.x and see what worked with those versions and apply it to the 3.x versions.....everything tanked after each version of 3.x.

The app in my Playstore is still version 3.8. I've not been getting notifications for around a week. Fitbit are telling me once I update to the newer app update  it will work, and to wait a few days for it to appear in Play store. Anyone got a solution for this?
