App crashes when syncing

Hi,

I got a charge 2 for my birthday and have had some issues syncing it with my android phone (samsung galaxy s4 mini).

The app kept crashing when I was first started trying to link it to my phone, so I had to login on my sisters android to setup the device. Since then I have moved back to using the app on my phone. I have managed to sync the device a few times but everytime I do it the app crashes until I turn off my bluetooth again.

Any help solving this would be great. Thanks

Hi @CoxJ, Welcome aboard to our Fitbit Community. Make sure you are running the latest version of the Fitbit app on your phone. For Android the latest version is 2.39.1.

To see what version of the Fitbit app is installed on your device:

  1. Tap the Account tab.
  2. Tap Help.

If your app is running the latest version, try to log our from the app and restart your phone. Once your phone has restarted log back in and try again. When the app crashes is due to the version is not longer supported by your device causing instability at the moment to work.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.

What a great day to step into the community @CoxJ! 😄 Heart

Normally, this happens when the app is not updated, so my best recommendation is to make sure the app is properly updated. To do so, please go to the Google Play App Store in your phone, and look for the Fitbit App. If there is an update available, you will see the option for updating.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes! Woman Very Happy
