App is flashing and showing the wrong step count

Since I updated to the new dashboard this has been happening. After it syncs it just tweaks out and shows a WILDLY incorrect step count, sometimes as crazy as 400,000 steps! 😲

The widget shows a step count that matches what my Charge 3 says. The Windows app and the website dashboard are also correct.

I also don't get notifications timely, my Fitbit will buzz like 5-10 minutes after the message or call.

I have tried restarting the Charge 3, deleting the app and reinstalling it (which worked for 1 day), restarting bluetooth, unpairing and re-pairing my Charge 3. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 with Android 9. I have had sync issues since I got the Charge 3 which was right after it was released.

It just does this forever:

@spooki404, have you updated to the Android app version 3.6?  This issue was corrected in this version for me.

The app is up to date. If I close it and reopen it multiple times in a row it will stop flashing but still shows a crazy step count. The other stats appear correct.

I have the same problem. Was this ever fixed? This is ridiculous.

No. I still have this problem, even after multiple app updates.

I have the same problem. Is the manufacturer making any attempt to resolve this significant quality flaw?

Since the last update my step count has been very inaccurate too, but usually way too low. It’s often off by 3-5k steps.
