App no long shows real-time heart rate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Suddenly, my real-time heart rate is no longer showing up in the app.

I'm currently using a Versa 2 and I had stopped wearing it for a while. Then recently, I wanted to monitor my heart rate during my workouts. You can imagine my surprise when I notice my app no longer shows this info.

The tracker itself still reads my heart rate, but I want to see it live on my phone. What happened that this no longer works, and why have I not seen an answer for this question in the past 3-4 years?

I'm hopping someone here can help me get my real-time heart rate back in the app. Thanks in advance!

And I want to be extra clear - the heart rate tile no longer has a screen for the real-time heart rate. Just resting rate and some other trend data.

Hi @DougMahana  - the watch has to be syncing well for this to work.

Please logout of the app and restart both watch and phone.

Then login and ensure your steps are updating and the heart rate tile should then show recent heart rate.

You can also use the SimpleCheckUp app to  see on your watch if it is connecting properly (and when it last synced, and more)

Do you have the latest fitbit app?

Best Answer

There is a setting o the fitbit dashboard to enable live data. Maybe that would help?

Hi @charleskn when you say dashboard, are you referring to the fitbit app settings, or the web based settings

These are my options.

That's correct, see screenshot below. My app is up-to-date according to the android app store.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try.

How do you restart the watch?

Best Answer

To restart, simply hold the button in, or settings / shutdown.

With your screen shot above, the 71 normally would be live data, updated every 5 seconds. And the testing heart rate would be displayed to the left of

Thanks, Rich - I'll try the restart.

Yes, it was functioning correctly previously. I had stopped wearing it for a while. Last week I recharged the watch to use it again and the live heart rate was gone from the app. It was very strange.

It's the settings for your tracker in the web dashboard.

From your main web dashboard

  • Select the gear icon for your settings
  • From the settings page select your tracker device to "view device settings"
