App not compatible with Samsung J5 2016

Hi. My wife and I both have Samsung J5 2016 phones. On my phone using Fitbit app 3.43.1 everything works including syncing but on my wife's it says the app is not compatible. Both phones' OS are automatically updated and have the latest updates. Can anyone shed any light on this please.

The Fitbit app requires Android 8 as a minimum.  The current Fitbit app is v 3.72.  Please make sure your wife’s phone is completely updated.

The Fitbit model doesn’t matter.  All Fitbits have the same requirements.
