App not showing stats

Hi you all.

Problem with the app? I'm not really sure if this is a versa 4 issue or app issue but I'm putting it here as that's what I have.

The app synchronised fine. But for the past while. Unless I turn my phone off and on which occasionally cures the problem I can't see my stats. Heartrate and exercise normally. Bit embassing when your trying to show how great the watch and app is.  Yes I have attempted all the normal fixes. Just get the spinners.

any know a fix? Well other than turning your phone off and on again of course. Which, really you shouldn't have to do.

Hi @AbigailA - it is normally not necessary to restart the phone to sync, there must be something causing this problem and resolutions can depend on the type of phone..

In order to keep syncing, the Fitbit App and associated services must be able to run in background so check the phone's battery saving settings.

Also avoid connecting to multiple devices as this can cause problems. Here is a bit more information.

Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

battery saving optimised so it can run in background is on

The watch is allowed to acsess everything permissions wise. In fact more than any other app i have on my phone ever.

No other things are connected to the phone. bluetooth or any other way.

The watch sync,s without issue. The issue is that when i try to look at stats for an exercise I get the spinners until i shut down and restart the phone. This not just the exercise i just completed the whole page has spinners.

So it isnt a sych issue at all. I cannot give anymore permissions and the app can basically run all the time.

back to you.

@Guy_ Thanks for your input. @AbigailA Hello there. Thanks for reaching out about the data displayed on the Fitbit app.

That has happened to me. Turns out my app was outdated. Please make sure that your Fitbit app is up to date. Question, do you have a Samsung device? Do you use of the following on your phone:

  • VPN
  • Adblock software
  • Security software *
  • Private DNS *

[* Samsung possibly in, Phone Settings, Connections, More connection settings]

Let us see if any other users are experiencing the same situation.

Hello Rodrigo.

To answer,

The app is the latest version as far as Google playstore is concerned.

Yes the phone is a Samsung. Galaxy A21s to be presise.

I dont use a vpn but do have an ad blocker installed and have security software (norton) I have no idea to check regarding a private dns. Let's assume I do not as I have never had anything of that nature installed/setup. To my knowledge.
