App only tracks daily steps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The app no longer tracks weekly steps.  It tracks daily steps, then they go away.  It shows I have taken 0 steps for the week and the year.  I have the latest updates.  I have removed and re-installed.  I have Bluetooth turned on.  I do not have multiple FitBits. This has been going on for months. What is the point of a weekly goal?  Should I keep a pad a paper nearby to add up the days manually?  This is ridiculous, and I don't believe you can't fix it.  I do believe you don't care.

Phone app Today screen tap Steps circle at top (I guess depending on your customized preset).
tap Week tab along top shows current probably incomplete week; tap left arrow to go back to previous week, etc.

Except for calories. By some miracle I seem to have burned the *exact* same
number of calories every single day for about six weeks.

So I guess you are saying my instructions did work for calories, which are what your initial question was.  But as an apparent different issue, you appear to have the same calorie burn every day for about 6 weeks?  Just a suggestion, but you might get better response on that as a new topic, so readers can better judge the issue without reading whole thread.

No, the calories just happen to be the only category containing a number,
which for whatever reason is the same. I don't actually care about the
calories. I have to go back to August 25 to get to the last time it tracked
weekly results. I'm trying to understand why it suddenly does nothing but
track daily goals. It has become a very basic pedometer. I still get an
email with my weekly results, so the numbers are clearly going somewhere. I
just have no access to them through this app.

@Cymry1065 Are you using a Fitbit One?  If so, it seems like the same thing is happening to many (all?) of us One users who have been posting on different threads.  It doesn't seem to matter if your One is connected to an Android or IOS device.  Mine hasn't worked properly since August 26.  All history is missing since that date, everything reverts to zero every day, no weekly or monthly statistics, synching problems (main screen shows zero until you force a sync) and that is all I can think of off the top of my head.  And I am also getting the weekly email, which appears to be correct.  So, our data is going somewhere and being stored, just not to the awful, updated version of the Fitbit app.  Google/Fitbit has released at least four or five app updates for both Android and IOS since the end of August, but none of them seems to be resolving the issues that One users are having.  And I agree with you, they certainly could fix this if they made it a priority.

Yes, the One! And you have described *exactly* what I have experienced.
The app is currently useless to me. Extremely frustrating.

@Cymry1065 Yes, extremely frustrating, especially for a big tech company like Google.  And meanwhile our old, humble Ones are tracking along beautifully, just as they were designed to do.  We cannot access the data, because the app is horribly broken, and they removed the PC dashboard.

I got my first One for Christmas 2012.  And it will still hold a charge! I replaced it (with another One) because the button kept sticking.
