App update has caused bluetooth issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since I updated the app yesterday my Charge will not sync with the app or even communicate with my phone.

All worked perfectly until the update.

Fitbit charge, LG stylus 2 phone.

After update during a sync message would pop up bluetooth issues please restart bluetooth. Every attempted sync.

Did usual steps, bluetooth off/on, restart phone, restart fitbit app, restart charge, uninstall app all failed. Removed charge from devices and now it won't even detect I have a fitbit to pair.

Suggestions????

It's great to have you here guys, welcome to the Forums @Lgarza186@Dobbins I was checking the compatibility information about you phone. It seems that it is not in the list of compatible devices

When you use a phone that is not in the list you might have some syncing issues once in a while. With some phones you can even connect call and text notifications perfectly. We can try the next workaround for syncing to see if this helps.

@Lgarza186 If you already tried the restart on your tracker  is not syncing check the next requirements for syncing:

  • The Fitbit app is installed on a supported device.
  • The software on your mobile device is updated. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your mobile device is on. To check, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  • If you use more than one Bluetooth phone, tablet, or computer to sync, the other one isn't nearby (or has Bluetooth disabled).
  • Your tracker's battery isn't critically low.

For syncing issues with a mobile device I would recommend following the steps below:

  1. Restart your Blaze a couple of times and make sure tha it is fully charged
  2. Reboot your phone and check that you phone and Fitbit App is up to date
  3. Open Bluetoot Settings on your phone and delete your Charge HR from there (forget device)
  4. Open Fitbit App > Account > Charge HR > Remove device (for Android phones look for a trash can in the upper right corner)
  5. Reboot your Bluetooth and double check that it is not connecting from there
  6. Force quite the App. Open it again Account > Set up a device

If you're currently syncing with a Android 6.0 device remember to check Permissions and leave location on, for more info check this suggestions from @ErickFitbitSmiley Wink

Hope this helps guys and welcome again! Heart
