App version 2.91 keeps randomly logging off

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have noticed that the last couple of days that my Fitbit app on my Android keeps randomly logging off.  I go to bed with it logged in and in the morning, I have to log back in.  I see some old community posts where this has happened in the past, so am hoping that it will be fixed soon?

Welcome to the Forums @MrMartinG.

Thanks for sharing those details on what is going on with the app on your phone.

In this case I'd like to recommend that you try to clear the app's cache and then restart the phone. Then open the app and log into your account again. That should help so that it doesn't log you out.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

I have Android version 2.92 on a Samsung Galaxy S7.  In the past Week or 2, I have begun to experience the same Log offs.  At least once a Day, often more.  On my Android but also on my WebSite (Chrome in Windows XP).  I just cleared my Cell Phone Cache.  I clear Chrome's Cache every time before I close it up for the Day.  Will see if this helps.  Maybe the Phone is logging out and Chrome just obeys.

Hello @BLLingg.

I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks for reaching back with all of those details and for sharing everything that you have tried.

In this case I'd like to ask if the situation has continued since then or if you have gotten it to work correctly for you.

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you. I performed the recommended step and so far it is continuing to
stay logged in after I cleared the cache. It has been staying logged in so
much that I forgot to respond. Thanks for the follow-up.

@LanuzaFitbit,   My first Message in here specified:  "I have Android version 2.92 on a Samsung Galaxy S7. Maybe the Phone is logging out and Chrome just obeys."

The 2.92 was FitBit's Android Version.  My Android Version is 8.0.0, Samsung Experience Version 9.0.

And yes, still SNAFU.  Both Android's FitBit App & FireFox WebSite (log in using Google), and my PC's Chrome.

Don't worry about delays, @LanuzaFitbit.  I don't sit here holding my breath.  I just continue to deal with it.  Only if I am unable to proceed at all do I wig out and throw a hissy fit.  LOL
