Auto populating BMR?

I've had my Fitbit charge 5 for about 9 months now, as of Monday it has been auto-populating what I assume is my BMR for the day.

Previously it updated calories as I burned them. I'm just wondering if this is a new feature and how it's calculated my BMR. (Which I know is roughly right as my BMR is around 1500, yep it sucks)

It's really thrown me off being different and I can't find anything on Google about this change

Hello @SunsetRunner and welcome to the Community.  I suspect you use an Android phone.  This is a new bug in the Android app and Fitbit is aware.  From the posted screenshot, it certainly looks like it is showing your BMR for the day and showing it for future days.
