BMI dropped to zero

I don't normally keep track of my BMI, which is why I didn't catch this until just now. For whatever reason, my BMI dropped to zero, apparently last week. I don't know what caused this, or how to fix it. My weight is correct, and I haven't changed any other settings. Screenshots:

I also have this problem since May 23rd on the Charge 2 and I would like to use BMI calculations. I was hoping for a solution. Besides no solution (in this thread) the problem is old......

To be honoust, I am getting completely fed up with the FitBit software:

1 - Sync issues (need to sync 4-5 times for a proper sync)

2 - BMI calcution not functioning

3 - Data export via website does not work

4 - Frequently my preferred layout on the Dashboard is reset automatically

5 - Weight trend also stopped working properly May 23rd

6 - I have lost about a week of data, no clue why

If it breaks down, no more FitBit for me.

I've got the same issue. BMI suddenly dropped to zero.

For info: I've been entering my weight and body fat almost daily. I don't use any other site for that and consequently never sync to or from anything else.

Hi JuanJoFitbit. Thanks for replying. I've checked the web-based dashboard and the BMI is calculated perfectly. It's just the Fitbit app on my android phone that has the issue. Version number is 2.71. Here is a screen shot. Any suggestions are welcome. Best regards.

@Just_1 Thank you for providing a screenshot showing the different readings! Please try logging out of the app, restart your phone, open the Fitbit app again and log in. After this, weigh yourself 5 times in a row in order to re-calibrate your scale and see if the BMI readings are more accurate as they should.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

Hi JuanJoFitbit, Good news! That fixed it 😀. In fact I just logged out of Fitbit, restarted the phone, and logged in again. Instantly it displayed a correct BMI. Interestingly, a number of weight measurements disappeared. But no big deal as my weight was stable over that period. Thanks again for your help!

This is clearly an ongoing problem since it's now 2022 and I have the same symptoms. BMI on the web site is fine. BMI in the app is zero for just the last three days. The previous three years of data are all fine. It just suddenly happened for no obvious reason.

https://www.garyjohnsoninfo.info/FoodFactsHintsTips/BodyFat.html It is really sad they use BMI.  Just Google it, the BMI is bull**ahem**.  The URL in this post is 3 or 4 measurements (1 more for women) that will give you a much better idea of your healthy weight.  Or just google body fat calculations

Same thing just happened to me today. If logging out and logging back in fixes BMI, but deletes weight history, then it's not worth doing and not a proper remedy. It's ridiculous that this has been a problem for 6 years.
