Battery drained despite turning off watch while having 31 % batt juice

My Ionic had notification problem after Android 10's Dec 2019 security patches. Note also I had also updated Fitbit latest OS (where there was a big tonnes of problems in Nov/Dec 2019)

Thereafter, I had not been able to get any notification vibration till about 3rd Feb (intermittent notification on my watch). Out of the sudden, on the evening of the same day, the watch showed erratic behaviour where it toggled between clockface screen and the screen where one long-press button (in my case it is Fitbit Pay)

I realised then i was not able to charge my watch till about 15 mins later. Put it on when the watch finished charging but to my horror the watch had been detoriating in battery juice quickly dropping from 100% to 31% within 6 hours.

Sensing that it would drop drastically fast, i turned it off. I charge it after 7 hours later as i did not bring the charging cable out (because not expecting it drain the battery from full charge within a day), and it showed a large pink horizontal battery cell pic indicating 0%.

After continuing to charge it for 1 hour, to my disapointment and dismay, i am not able to turn it on. The watch felt warm (the typical heat during charging).

I am thinking of software issues however I did not do anything between the actions i described in my 1st paragraph till date.

Does anyone has this problem and able to power up the watch as well as resolving the battery draining issues? my watch is out of warranty and just turn 2 yrs 1 month.

Are you saying that after the phones OS was updated. Your ionic gets notifications but with no vibrations? Is your ionic in its do not disturb mode.

Hi @Rich_Laue, i ought to be clearer.. no notifications at all.. no text, no vibrations.. and I never turn on DND mode..but that's not the main prob.

The main problem I am not able to turn on my watch. Definitely it's not hardware (battery wear & tear) issues because it drained battery from 100 to 31% within 7 hours and drained further despite I turned it off.

I mentioned that I could received notifications out of nowhere after a month from Fitbit OS update..on 3rd feb (it may sound weird to you) because I noticed from my usage experiences that whenever there is a new feature launch from Fitbit, there would be notification issues. (if i was able to receive notification previously, then I will face notification issues & vice versa)

my definition of new features could be - such as playstore update, or 2SPO feature, new Fitbit OS rolled out in Dec 2019) would appear.
