Have noticed bedtime is not actual bedtime. This seems to be random. For example: Actual bedtime was approximately 10:30pm last night. Today when I checked my sleep results it showed 8:30 pm for bedtime?

@Guy_ Thanks for your input.
@Strausbo53 Welcome to the forums. Thanks for your inquiry regarding the bedtime. The inquiry is not all clear to me.
Do you mean the Fitbit app shows a different start time for the sleep log? Or is it regarding the bed time setting on the app? Has it always been like that? Or did it just recently start? Do you spend some time in bed or in the couch prior going to bed? Lack of movement and lower heart rate can be tracked by a Fitbit device as sleep, even though you are still awake. Those are the factors that a Fitbit device considers before starting the sleep tracking.
Have a nice day!

Hi @Strausbo53 - there is a difference between scheduled bedtime and the time when you fell asleep as detected by the device.

This is the same for me. I’ve set bedtime for 11:45, but sleep cycle seems to start when I sit down to watch TV at 10pm. The next day, it show this time as awake or restless, and has quite a negative effect on my sleep score.

Hi @MarkNB - sleep time is determined mainly by an algorithm based on your activity. A sleep schedule merely makes the watch dim and refuse notifications and wrist wake.
What you could try is logging into your settings here and setting your sleep sensitivity to sensitive, it may give a more accurate result.
Do remember to hit Submit at the bottom and then sync?
