Blaze constantly buzzing during phone calls

I saw someone else post something similiar as part of another thread, but this is annoying enough that I feel it warrants its own thread (and no one responded to the query in the other thread anyway).

When I place a call using my phone, the blaze buzzes with an "incoming call" notification from the person I am calling.  It continues to buzz until I hang up the phone.

Conversely, when I recieve a call, I do get a notification on the blaze about the incoming call.  However, as with the outgoing call, the blaze buzzes constantly until I hang up the call.

Needless to say, this is very annoying and will make me give up on call notifications altogether which is 50% of the reason that I switched from the charge hr to the blaze since I need to have a discreet way to get notified of when I receive calls and texts at work so as not to disturb everyone around me.

Anyone else having this issue and/or know how to fix it?

My phone is a Motorola Moto X (2015) Pure Edition running Android 6.0.

Thanks!

Looks like they pushed out an update last night to fix it. I tested an outgoing call and no buzzing. Will test more today.

I have the same issue with my Blaze using a Nexus 6P (so also running Marshmallow)

I wonder if it's a Marshamallow issue, anyone still on Lollipop with a Blaze able to confirm?.

Same issue here with a Nexus 6.

Outgoing call makes my Blaze buzz and display "Incoming". I thought I'd sorted the buzzing by pressing the single left hand button, but that may have just been my imagination. Further testing required ...

Yes, the buzzing continues until either the call is ended, I push the left button or I tap the screen to acknowlege (I just discovered earlier today that this works).  It's still very annoying, but at least it's possible to stop it.

@cochrasc@kattj@SherylFinchy@dsmice@premiump Hey everyone -- This is an issue with users running Android Marshmallow 6.0 which should be resolved in an app update soon. I will make sure to update you guys once I hear of the release of the app update with the fix for outgoing call notifications, which is not intended behavior.

Thanks @ErickFitbit. Do you know if they will be adding the ability to accept or decline calls from Android with it as well?

@dsmice Not that I have heard but I can do some further investigating and look into it and give you all an update of what I find out in the coming week.

Hello,

I noticed the incoming call notification comes on when I'm making a call.  Is this the desired behavior or is this a bug?

Same Issue on Nexus 6P.

Sadly I'll be returning my Blaze today. Coming from a Charge HR with hopes to get a good mix between fitness band and smart watch, the Blaze hasn't lived up to the hype for me.

Fitbit said they would fix the battery and sync issue "quickly" in january for the Charge HR, and we're still waiting for that update.

Can't take their word on future fixes for the Blaze at 250$ cdn price tag.

What OS version is run nong on your phone,  @MaiDoM7? I wonder I'd this Buzz is related to Marshmellow. See the other thread on  notifies of outgoing calls..

I'm running stock  Version 6.0.1

I'm using Apex Launcher though instead of the default Google Now Launcher, not sure it this can be related.

Going into Fitbit App permissions everything is checked in also.

Anyway, I just returned the watch moments ago, I won't be able to provide anymore troubleshooting for this issue, sorry!

This is what makes it harder to program for Android the iOS. Apple keeps a fairly tight control over both hardware and software, with not many things that can be customized or chsnge. On Android we have at least 6 different Launchers, a dozen messenger app, and as many different phone Apps.
