Blaze not receiving notifications when phone is silent

Hello all,

I recently purchased a Fitbit Blaze and I have spent the last several hours looking through the forums and researching any solutions but I haven't come across any. I am using a Nexus 6P Android device. When I put my phone into "silent" mode, my Fitbit Blaze does not receive any notifications (texts, emails, etc.). It is only when I put my phone on vibrate will it send the notifications to my Fitbit Blaze. Does anyone know how to set up the Fitbit so that I will still receive notifications when my phone is on silent? (I do NOT have my phone on "do not disturb". It is simply on "silent" mode.)

Thank you!

EDIT: I realized that it was in fact on "Do Not Disturb" mode (or DND). Browsing through other forum threads, some users recommended using the app called "Fit Notifications", which allows you to set the app notifications to display while on DND mode. As your are setting up your Fit Notifications app, it will prompt you to go into your the Fit Notifications app settings to change the notifications to "Priority". You then have to change your DND to "Priority" mode using the "quick settings" (swipe down while you're on the home screen). Now, my phone is on silent and my Fitbit Blaze is still receiving notifications from "Fit Notifications" (includes notifications from: Chomp SMS, Google Hangouts, Messenger, Gmail, WhatsApp). Hope this helps!
