Every single time I try to sync my surge I can't!!! I have done everything suggested, turn Bluetooth off and on again, turn phone of and on again, uninstall and reinstall app, shutdown Surge and restart. One or all work most of the time but I do not want to go through this whole rigamarole every time I want to sync. This is what is happening, anyone got any suggestions??? Is it the device? Is it the app? What can I do???

Hello @Callyf, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community. I'm wondering how it goes so far? It seem you have try different solution to sync your Surge.
I would recommend to review the following post for more help to address syncing issues: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).
If this is not helping, make sure your phone is listed as compatible as the previous post mentioned in the requirements. If it does, try to set up your tracker as a replacement on your account. For this the following post will guide you through.

I am sooo sick of this problem, it is continuous, I turn Bluetooth off and on again, no luck, I turn my phone off and on again, no luck, I turn the surge off and on again, no luck, I force stop the app, no luck, I uninstall and reinstall the app, no luck. I try these steps over and over and no luck. My device is compatible, I have set up my tracker and it has worked previously and still works sporadically, it synced on Wednesday but wouldn't on Thursday, Friday or today. Why???
