Blaze notifications issue with Moto G4 Plus

I am having issues of my notifications stopping completely on my Blaze with my unlocked Moto G4 Plus. Anyone else having this issue? It happens after the phone has been asleep for a half hour to an hour. Go into app and sync device and notifications come back, sometimes. Sometimes have to restart Bluetooth to get teacher to sync. This only started happening about a week or two ago.

Moto G4 Plus is not a fitbit compatible device, just like the Moto Z Play or my Moto Z.

 

I haven't been able to make notifications work in a reliable manner with my Moto Z.

I can get my notifications to work even though the Moto G4 Plus is not a "compatible" device. One thing I noticed was if I had Yahoo mail app, or Yahoo mail in the Gmail app, that is when notifications stopped working properly. If I deleted both from my phone, notifications seem to work better, at least a little more reliable than if I have the Yahoo mail on the phone.
