Bug: Miles circle infographic not filled when target hit

Hello, I've noticed that my miles infographic isn't working as it should and wondered if this is a known bug, and if its affecting anyone else.

I have my target miles set to 5 - each day this week I've hit 5, yet the circle infographic on my app main screen is only showing as about 3/4 green, rather than entirely green.

All of the other infographic circles are working as they should (I.e. showing the whole circle as green once target is completed), and the number underneath the miles circle is correct.

It is broken when checking on the day itself and if I look back on previous days.

Interestingly, there was a day that I hit 3.77 miles above my target of 5 and that day does show as all green! It does make you wonder what's the point in setting a target if the app only works when I get way higher than that?

Hoping this can be fixed soon!

Do Fitbit monitor these forums for known issues?

This one should be easily fixed - I have seen many others report the same problem.

If you set your measurements to miles on your app then set your target distance to let's say 5 miles and you record over 5 miles the completion circle on the app dashboard shows it is not complete until you record over 8 miles.

Now 5 miles equals approx 8 km.

If you log onto the web site and check your distance target it shows a 8 miles not 5.

If you set your target distance on the app as 10 miles then log into the website the dashboard shows you target distance as 16 miles.

It is converting miles on the app to km then recording this as miles on the website.

The solution to the problem is to log onto the website, set you target distance there in miles, the open the app and sync it and it shows the correct target distance in miles and the completion circle reflects this correctly.

It seems to be a simple conversion issue between the app and the web site that can be easily fixed but from the forum posts this has been ongoing for months now.

Can someone from Fitbit pick this up and address it..?

This is a community board @alivingstone while we know that moderators do some monitoring, we can not say if the sec team does. I've only seen one post in the last 7 years that was from a retired developer.

This big has been brought up in the past. Here is one users thought

What the actual... fitbit app is so buggy. Why is no one monitoring or fixing these issues?

THANK YOU! This has been driving me crazy for a week.  Called tech support, she had no idea. Even resorted to a factory reset,  no luck. I had done what you suggested in the App several times (toggled back and forth between miles and kilometers) with no luck.  Logged into the actual FitBit website, per your advice, changed the Distance units to miles from kilometers... IT WORKED!!
