Somethings just not right here. I have the Alta Hr. I got up yesterday walked to the kitchen counter put my fit bit on and it showed I'd burnt 501 calories! Hun? No way. All I did was put it on. I went to Best Buy and the guy said.... Yeah that does seem high, he offered no solution what so ever. This morning walking from bedroom to living room it says I burnt over 400 calories. I did not wear this while I was sleeping . Is there a way to reset something?

This is quite normal.
As well as tracking calories you burn through activity, your fitbit also tracks your BMR calories. These are the calories you burn just keeping your body alive (even when asleep). They are calculated from your profile settings so you needn't be wearing your fitbit to get them. What you are seeing includes the BMR calories burned since it reset at midnight.

@Rajj1 if you're sure the calories are wrong (bearing in mind the comments above about BMR calories) then check your settings for age, weight, height etc at https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/edit as these directly affect the calculations.
The count resets automatically at midnight. You can't manually reset it.

I'm afraid you can't.
If you look at the data for a day in the past it will calculate the total BMR calories for that day. There's no way of stopping it doing that.
