Hi, I'm a new user and have been looking through the forums trying to find an answer to my problem but can't seem to find a specific enough answer.
I'm currently on a 500 calorie deficit plan. My calorie tile is showing I'm 68 calories over budget for the day. If I understand correctly this number is using my past activity information to guess how much activity and food consumption I will have for the rest of the day. I wish there was a way to change this to just current data but I can't find a way to do it.
Now on the food detail screen (where you add food) it shows 1693 calories in, 1799 calories out and that I'm 311 calories over budget. With my goal being 500 calories deficit this math doesn't make sense. It should be showing 394 calories over Budget. Can anyone explain this to me?

It's always great to see new names on the Forums, @Brittanyjo!
Regarding the situation with the calories, I'd like to address each of your points:
I'd like to mention that while these two tools are a great way to get an idea of your performance, they will not always be 100% accurate or exactly on the numbers for your goals given that the total amount of calories burned, or consumed, during a day can be very different from day to day. My personal suggestion would be to only use those details a guide, and focus on making sure that your calorie deficit is as close as possible to the 500 that you set.
I hope you find this post useful. Please let me know if you have any questions.
