Calorie burned doesn't match with calories out

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My calorie count from yesterday in the "energy burned" card is nowhere near my calorie count in the food section where it shows me my calorie budget and "in vs out" count.

I've tried force closing the app, clearing the cache, and forcing a sync in the main homepage, but nothing changes.

My devices are the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Pixel Watch 3 45mm.

I stopped using my Fitbit app a few weeks ago because of all the bugginess. I plan to start using it again this week for health tracking. Hopefully they have resolved the multiple issues that made the app unusable.

Was this resolved? I am seeing this same issue and have been trying to work out what I was doing wrong!

Unfortunately no, it just doesn't get updated that day. Some days it's fine
and other days not. I wish they'd fix it. I'm using an android phone by the
way. Not sure if it matters.

Thank you.  I have a Google Pixel 7 so android as well.  Hugely frustrating!

I just recently returned to fitbit and wish I hadn't. Since the takeover it has become a nightmare. My calories out are now saying '0' the app itself just looks drab now and the community and challenge part was one of the best parts about fitbit. It's such a shame they have taken something so good and made it so frustrating. Such a waste of a great product and community

I'm just here to continue the paper trail and report that I have the same issues as everyone else here.

Devices:

- Fitbit app version 4.34.1
- Phone, Pixel 9 XL
- Watch, Pixel Watch 3 45 mm

I like a lot of things about Google but stuff like this makes me want to go back to Apple.

Just came here to say I've been having this same issue so they keep it open and hopefully find a fix soon! I have found if I uninstall and reinstall the app sometimes it fixes itself although that's obviously not ideal

This has been happening for years, according to a couple of Google searches.

I wouldn’t hope for this to be fixed any time soon.

I am having the same problem! Using Charge 6 and a Samsung Galaxy 24+. Im seriously about to ditch FitBit. Anyone have any other recommendations for an alternative?

I know this thread is a bit old, but I'm also experiencing the same issue. Using charge 6 and latest app vs/android version on s25+.

Its really annoying because it makes the calories tracker kinda useless. Sometimes it will say I'm overbudget at like 3pm even if I hadn't logged any meals due to the mismatch in burned vs out

this has been a problem for a while now and its quite annoying.  New app update today still did not fix it.

So I never got an answer in here so I got on Chat with Google Support and it seemed to fix it. I will update if the problem comes back.

This is what they said to do:

Google: According to the system, you have got the device and the mobile track activated at the same time, this might cause interference when the device is tracking information, please disable it.
On the fitbit app, go to the upper left corner tap on the phone logo, then select the phone and disable that option.

Me: Disconnect device?

Google: yes, that is correct

Me: done

Google: Now go to the google play store app, search the fitbit app and uninstall it, then reinstall the fitbit app please.

Me: So what did I lose by unsyncing my phone?

Google: Basically, by deactivating the phone, we will not have interference when tracking your activities and thus determining the calories.

I think they are lying to you.

My phone is already disconnected as a device.  Its just my watch.

It always works for a bit after reinstalling the app.  It will break again later or tomorrow.

I've given up on the Fitbit food logger. I am keeping track of my nutrition with online spreadsheets that I created for my needs.

You are right, the problem is back again! 😡

Actually, I'm enjoying curating a data logger that meets my needs. Just standard Google Sheets formulas and some time, and this works great for me. Plus, I can log from my computer or my phone.
