Calorie count in energy burned does not match calorie count in cal in vs cal out

My calorie count from yesterday in the "energy burned" card is nowhere near my calorie count in the food section where it shows me my calorie budget and "in vs out" count.

I've tried force closing the app, clearing the cache, and forcing a sync in the main homepage, but nothing changes.

My devices are the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Pixel Watch 3 45mm.

Hello @NateDZD

I moved your post from the Charge 6 product help forum to the Android platform forum since you mention that you're using the Pixel Watch 3.

There is an issue on the Fitbit side that affects calorie tracking. The team is aware of the issue and have been working on a fix.

That said, there's an update for the Android Fitbit app, ver 4.26.1, that started rolling out today, 25 Sep 2024. I got the update this morning. Although I haven't seen confirmation, I'm hoping that this update fixes the calorie tracking issue.

The app updates tend to rollout in waves. If you don't see the update right away, keep checking.

Thanks for letting me know! I did get the update today, so I installed it, but either there's no fix for the issue or I updated my app a bit too late because it's happened again today. Perhaps I'll try rebooting both my phone and my watch.

So, it keeps happening. It's quite annoying, to be honest.

This is happening on the pixel watch also. My calories burned are not transferring to the food section. I can't use the deficit logger since burned calories don't show up in food section.

Hello @NateDZD & @JDocMan

The known issue on the Fitbit side that affects calorie tracking was not fixed in the 4.26.1 update.

I've seen recent Moderator posts acknowledging the issue and that the team is working on fixing the problems. They also mentioned that an app update will be rolling out in the next few days. Keep checking the Play Store for the app update and install it when it's available.

I'll check back when I see confirmation that the update has started rolling out to see if it fixed the problem you're experiencing.

Hello @Sean_in_sd

It looks like the app update has started rolling out since I'm seeing some users reporting that they are on version 4.27.1.

The app updates usually roll out in waves. Keep checking the Play Store for the app update and install it when it's available.

Hello @JDocMan

Thank you for letting me know that you're still seeing calorie tracking issues even after updating to version 4.27.1.

I haven't seen any updates on the timeline for fixing this issue and will report back as soon as I do.

Today I walk 7km and app show I burned 604 calories.

No way that is true. I have Pixel 3 watch and avg HR in walk was 110 bpm.

Any update on a fix? I have to refresh app data every couple of days to get accurate food plan calorie tracking.

Previously, calories would stop updating in my food tracking section after a day or two.

Now I have had a few days of proper calorie syncing in the food tracking section.

I am running 4.28.3 on Android version 15.

I will let you know if the problem persists.

I encountered a new issue with the history log. My current day (11/6) was syncing fine, but (11/5) the day prior's calories would not sync.

I had to delete all app data and sign back in before all calories would sync with the food tracking section.

So... there still seems to be an issue.

The calories aren't updating anymore. No matter what I do. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled. My calories burned show on every other screen except for my food logger. Does Google have any ideas why this keeps happening?

Hello @JDocMan

On Thursday (07 Nov 2024), I got an app update to version 4.29. Have you had a chance to update to this new version yet? Are you still seeing the issue with calories updating?

I was running 4.29 when the last calorie issue happened. the calories did not update for Friday no matter what I had done. This morning (11/9), I deleted all data, and the calories came back correctly during login.

The last time I had more than a couple of days of calorie tracking, I was running 4.28.3

I don't know when my phone was updated to 4.29.

We're at version 4.30, and this issue still hasn't been fixed. I stopped tracking food in the app for a while, and of course my first day tracking food it tells me I haven't burned any calories.

I have similar issues. It has happened twice already, once today and another time about two weeks ago. My calories in are shown, but calories out are showing as 0, which means it's not correctly calculating that day's health relating to food and calories. I left a review on the Play store and immediately got a canned response. I tried everything it suggested: Logged out of account, forced quit the app, restarted phone, then logged back in. Manually sync the app. I even tried clearing cache while I was force stopping the app, and tried moving tiles back and forth, to different dates, nothing is helping.

So frustrating. Anyone have better luck in solving this?
