Camera wouldn't work on the app

It will for example let me share my heart rate or achievements. However anything to do with the camera option it won't let me use it. It just goes to a black screen and tells me fitbit app stopped working and gives me the option to report it or to restart the app.

Have you given the app permission to use the camera?

My second question is what are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to share your dashboard with others with a photo of yourself as the background? I believe that is the only purpose of the camera option.

Yep I have given it permission. And to your second question yes , but you can also use photos you already have stored I can't even do that. People use their own photos on here like crazy. Also it was working than stopped working . All the permissions were checked that was the first thing I did. Thanks

I have the exact same problem on my Android. I've tried everything from uninstalling, restarting my phone and reinstalling, my phone and app are all updated, I've double checked that the permission was turned on, and it is, I cleared up a BUNCH of memory space in case that was the issue and still nothing. Every time I try to use the camera, in any community options that allows you to access the camera, causes the thing to crash.

I'm le sad as I was just getting into the community part of this app and it was really helping with accountability.

That's exactly what mines do too. I've tried all of the same things . Now I'm gone to using my tablet to post pictures. It's kind of a pain to have to do it that way.
