Can 2 Fitbits run off one phone?

My son has a fitbit 2 inspire, but he doesn't have a phone (and that's not changing anytime soon) so he has the app loaded on my phone.  He borrows my phone when he needs to make configuration changes etc.

He's convinced me to get my own inspire, but its sitting on my desk, unopened, because I can't find anything suggesting I can run two separate accounts off of one phone and I may need to return it.

Has anyone been able to run two separate fitbit accounts off on one phone?

Yes, you can run 2 fitbits off the same phone, but, as it sounds like you realize already, each needs a separate account.  That means you will have to keep logging out of one account, then back into the other.

I don't know how it handles texts, calls, notifications from phone because it is the phone's bluetooth that is linked to the fitbit device.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hello @Larc17

You might want to try an app such as Parallel Space

In this way you should be able clone the app and effectively have 2 Fitbit apps running in your phone, each one with its own account and its own tracker.

I'm using the conditional form as I've never tried myself and I only heard about it.

If you try it can you report back?

Thanks a lot

@JohnnyRow that is something to think about, the son may get all of the parents notifications.

Another thought would be to use an old phone without a cell plan. As long as the phone can connect to the homes. WiFi it should work.
