@jojotong Hi and Welcome - has your friend deleted the tracker from their account?

to delete badges you may be able to do it as follows

  1. Go to http://www.fitbit.com/badges/all.
  2. Hover over the badge you'd like to delete.
  3. Click the trash can to permanently delete the badge.

Deleting Data - will inform you how to delete specific data but this could be long winded

or you may have to factory reset your tracker ( this will involve setting up the tracker from scratch)

as you have not stated the device you have you may need to google - factory reset (Fitbit charge 2 or the type of device you have) as this changes slightly pending on tracker (Note a restart will not work as this basically turns off the device and back on again - no data should be lost)

@LanuzaFitbit , @Rich_Laue , @SteveH  - whoever comes online first is there anything else before going to support ??

last resort give customer support a call the phone number will appear once the office is open (usually 0800 - 1900 Mon-Fri and 1000 - 1700 weekends in the UK)

Customer Support UK

This is for the UK but should you need to change country scroll to the bottom and look for United Kingdom with a down arrow next to it and click on the arrow now you can select your relevant country and the page will refresh

Kind Regards

@jojotong Ok no worries - hopefully they can sort it for you - just checked my own app and don't think it can be done on a badge by badge basis the hover over will work on the website version - but will have to access via PC or over the Internet and not via the app - but as you have contacted support best see what they come up with

Good luck and hope its sorted for you soon

Kind Regards

Hi @Tobyjkw .

It is not possible to delete badges yourself.

If you send an email to Support, they will delete the badges you don't want anymore for you.

Hi @jojotong .

Yes I noticed that. But as you can see some people are still replying and posting. As it is not possible anymore to delete badges yourself, it seemed like a practical idea to post the updated solution here... 😊

My progress bar on the weight screen, which I love, was covered over by an irritating badge which I couldn't delete.

I managed to fix this by:

  • Going to settings, weight
  • Changing goal date to today's date

The weight screen showed my goal progress box again, but it had replaced today's weight with my original weight so it showed no progress at all.

I went to today's weight, deleted and replaced it.

The goal box is visible and functioning again. It's start date is wrong  but the graph shows the correct dates.

The only way to delete badges are to contact fitbit and ask the to delete them.

@jojotong badges do not get awarded to the tracker, but to the users account.

Did you create a new account for yourself? And not take over the previous account. It is impossible for their badges to have been transferred to you.

Now it can be possible that their was 20k of steps for a day on the tracker because the previous user failed to do a final sync or a factory reset.

So I called fitbit today to have badges removed that I never actually earned, they are weight loss badges that are only there from me entering incorrect weights. Anyways, fitbit told me that they can no longer remove badges from accounts, at all. Super annoying and frustrating. I would like to earn these badges myself, and looking at them in my badges is super annoying. lol.

FITBIT - Change this! We should be allowed to edit and change badges if we want to. Especially the weight loss ones, since its so easy to make a mistake when entering your weight.

Hello everybody!

@Dlrainer Welcome to the forums. Thanks for taking the time to express yourself regarding the trophies and badges. I was under the impression that only weight badges could be removed, since its so easy to make a mistake when entering your weight. I will need to inquire about this and I will let you know as soon as I receive an update. Thanks again. Have a nice day!

Is there an update? Cuz I'm having the same problem and being the perfectionist I am, it bothers me a lot.

Best Answer

Hi, any updates on this?  Someone else's scale reading gave me like 20 unearned badges.  Thanks.
