@Mike253 I answered another post re the Surge and found, when I went outside away from my total electronic environment the device synced immediately. It hasn't synced since, 2 hours ago and that includes the Fitbit Connect auto sync.

I had the same problem. I turned all day sync off. Once I did this, it synced manually each time. Before turning all day sync off, the manual sync didn't work.
